MM2 Shuts down whenever I try to open a project

I was using MM2 to make a video. I got done with it and decided to
wait to make it into a .wmv. I try to do it later on adn whenever I
try to open the project, MM2 treats me with the "Encountered a
problem, needs to shut down." There's no way to uninstall and
reinstall....so am I screwed? TIA.
