Its actually quite simple. Buy or download adobe premier
6.5. Not only does it not crash, but you can run clips
backwards (without all the hassle of buying a mac), you
can do green screens and then insert the characters in
different backgrounds. and best of all it doesnt' crash
like good ole MM2

I think the key word is "Buy", why would anyone compare
+$500.00 a professional editing tool to a free home user
program like Movie Maker.

Do you really think that the users of this forum expect
Movie Maker to be as robust as Premier?

Yes, Movie Makers has issues.
Yes, it lacks a lot of features.
Yes, it is FREE!

"Free" isn't entirely accurate as WMM2 is included with Windows XP, which
costs $$$.

Probably the #1 reason to use a third-party tool is to create a VCD/DVD.

www.avid.com, who normally sell their Avid Xpress DV for $995, are
promising something called "Avid Free DV" sometime in Q3 2003. It'll be
interesting to see how it stacks up.
