MM won't import MP3 files

Hope some can help. I've used MM successfully for several projects. Recently
my backup hard drive crashed. I replaced it, and eversince MM keeps throwing
up a message "unable to load files - unspecified error". I've reloaded the MM
package thinking this would cure the problem, but it hasn't. Any solutions.
I've tried using RegCure which doesn't appear to have solved the problem.
