Mixing SATA and IDE ATA-100 drives

David Kistner

I have an Windows XP machine with two SATA-I drives. I'd like to add a
3rd drive but it's an IDE ATA-100. The mb is an ABIT NF8-V PRO with an
available IDE for the drive (I also have a DVD and CDRW drive on the
other IDE channels).

Anyone had experience mixing SATA & PATA hard drives on a system? Does
this work ok?

Thanks in advance for your help.
