Mixing function in Subtotal

With subtotal, I can only use 1 function at a time either sum, count,
average...I want to be able to use sum for 1 column and count for another
column. Does anyone know how to do that?

Hi Kim
try the following
- select you data range
- goto 'Data - Subtotals' and apply the first subtotal function
- after this open again the subtotal dialog and uncheck 'replace
existing subtotals'. Choose your second function

Great! It's working but it's putting the total and count in different level.
Is there a way to have both count and total on the same level?

don't think this is possible. Also it would be a problem for creating a
common entry in the first column for a count and a sum

Instead of using the Subtotal feature, you could use a pivot table to
summarize the data. There are instructions and links here:

In the PivotTable Wizard, when you add a field to the data area,
double-click on it, and choose one of the 'Summarize by' options.
