Mixing DAO & ADO

J

Jim Shaw

BlankI've built my app using DAO.
Now I need some Office Automation functionality available thru ADO.
Are there any concerns using both DAO and ADO in Access 2002?

Thanks
Jim

Just be careful to 'disambiguate' by specifying the object library when
objects with the same name exist in both libraries, e.g. DAO.Recordset and
ADODB.Recordset rather than just Recordset.

Here, with thanks to fellow-Access-MVP Douglas J Steele, is the list of
objects with the same names in both libraries ...

Connection,
Error, Errors, Field, Fields, Parameter, Parameters, Property, Properties
and Recordset
