I have been having trouble with my windows XP Home
Edition. I think the original cause was from updating
windows and having a conflict with my CD write software.
I got an updated device driver but somehow in the process
the Widnows installation got corrupted. I tried to re-
install, and was able to, but when the system re-booted
and the widnows log on screen came up and it says to
select the user, there are no boxes to put my password
in! There are two users on our system. Therefore I
can't get into windows or SAFE mode, etc. at all. How
can I get the boxes back? Could I get into Recovery
Console and execute MSConfig and would that help? I
appreciate any help you can give! I surely don't want to
start from scratch if I don't have to.
Thanks you for your time and trouble.
