Missing USB divices

Hi Guys me again Every time i plug in a USB divice like a flash drive or
external HHD it does not show up in my computer or windows explorer i have to
go to admin tools and explore it there how do I get my pc to have it show up
in my computer and windows explorer. Any idears regards wills

This is a common fault in XP. The was a Microsoft patch that came out which
was supposed to rectify it, but it didn't

My advice to you through looking after 24, 000 computers with the same
problem is to give it the drive letter Z:\ if its free & you maybe in luck
to have it continue using it, but maybe it will resort back to the last
drive letter in use

About going into Admin tools...

If you right-click MY COMPUTER, click MANAGE, DISK MANAGEMENT you can
right-click it there to change the drive letter.
