Missing "Turn Off Computer" Icon On The Welcome Page.

When I startup Windows and I am at the 'Welcome Page' I have all the correct
icons except the "Turn Off Computer" icon. This makes it very difficult if
you change your mind and want to turn the computer off.

If anyone could reply and tell me how to recover my "Turn Off Computer"
icon, it would be most appreciated!

Hi,

See if this helps, type this in the Run command box without the quotes

"REG ADD HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system
/v shutdownwithoutlogon /t REG_DWORD /d 1"

Or open regedit by start>run and type

regedit

Navigate to the following key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system

then locate "shutdownwithoutlogon" in the right-hand pane and change the
value to 1.
