I have a user with a roughly 4MB workbook saved on our network. When
he opens the file, the grid window/pane is completly grayed out/ blank.
He can manually type in a cell coordinate in the name box on the top
left, and the data entered will show in the formula bar, but nothing in
the main window. No scroll bars are displaying either.
One of the more interesting aspects is that a print preview shows the
data properly, with all of the formatting and gridlines there. When I
open the file, everything works properly. The user can also open other
excel worksheets just fine.
Does anyone know of a setting that could cause this, or perhaps would
detect and repair work? We both use the same version of Excel (XP/
2002), and we're both at the same update level.
