missing show desktop icon

Carrie

I recently got a new computer with Win XP and I'm
wondering how I would display the "show desktop" icon in
my bottom toolbar. This is the icon that if you click on
it, it minimizes all of the programs you have open and
displays the desktop. I use it frequently and miss it,
thanks in advance!

Option 2:

Alternately, search for the file named showdesktop.scf in your computer by
logging in as administrator. Every user has a copy of this file. Copy it to
your userprofile path here:

c:\Documents and Settings\<<YOUR USER NAME>>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Option 3:

Carrie,

Right click on an empty area of the Taskbar, scroll up to Toolbars and click
on Quick Launch. This will put the Show Desktop icon next to the Start
button.
