Missing Shortcuts

The automatic update just installed for Outlook 2003, and now all of my
shortcuts are missing.

This is the second time an Outlook update did this, and it takes a while to
re-create these shortcuts.

Are these saved in a file I could restore? Or perhaps a registry entry?
Does uninstalling the update return my settings?

Please help, Thank you.

Which shortcuts? The ones you had in the Shortcuts Navigation?
Any update doesn't delete those. You must have some other corruption going
on in your Navigation Pane. You can fully reset it by starting Outlook with
the resetnavpane switch;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /resetnavpane

Once you have it configured again you can backup the xml-file for the mail
profile.

I have backed up all of the file in the following folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Is the file in one of these? or do I have to specifically export it?

Thank you

It's in the last and called <profilename>.xml
Of course replace <profilename> with the name of your Outlook profile.

OK, I found it.

Thank you for your help
