Missing send receive button? One day working fine the next day not

I am missing my Send/Receive Button in Outlook 2003. One day it was working
the next day it was gone. I have deleted and reinstalled the accounts, done
the detect and repair, still no love.

Someone said it could be a corrupt profile, and that I would need to create
a new profile, then transfer the old profile contents to the new profile.
Unfortunately, it sounded a little complicated, so I am looking for
step-by-step instructions to transfer my email, contacts, signatures, and any
other information and settings that I might be overlooking.

What might have caused this problem so I can avoid it in the future?
What are the consequences to such a move?

I almost forgot, I can access all my folders in Outlook I just cannot
send/receive email.

Should I run the Inbox Repair Tool first, or will I lose email in my inbox?

Try setting up another Outlook Profile.
