Missing pro.msi file?

I just started getting an error message that I've never
seen before.

When I invoke any Microsoft programs, Windows generates a
screen asking for the installation disk. It then asks me
for an pro.msi file which I cannot locate on the
installation disk.

What in the heck is going on here?

msi belongs to apps installed via the windows installer...
take a look in the event viewer (eventvwr.msc from the RUN box)
and see if there are further messages....
