Missing or Corrupt file- "vbaen32.olb"

Help !!! I just did a clean install of Windows 2000
Professional. Now each time I try to start both EXCEL &
WORD I get a message about "the registry reports that the
file "vbaen32.olb" is either missing or corrupt. When I
try to open one of my existing EXCEL files that I use to
work with all the time, it won't open and tells
me, "missing olb libraries". What should I do??

Try re-registering Excel and Word with Windows. With everything closed, go
to the Windows Start menu, choose Run and enter

Excel.exe /regserver

This will cause Excel to start, re-write all its registry entries, then
quit. Then try starting Excel normally.

To do the same thing with Word, use

WinWord.exe /r

In both cases, it may be necessary to supply the compete file name for Excel
and Word, something like the following (your actual path may vary)

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.exe /regserver
