when i open project i have a message missing or broken reference owc10.dll
version 1.1

Chances are very good you don't need it. If I recall correctly this
is one of the references created when you convert an MDB from an older
version of Access to a newer version.

I'd suggest clearing the reference check box and compiling your
project to see if you have any errors.

I have 1 user out of about 10 users getting this same error message. WinXP
Pro has just been loaded on his machine. What could be causing one user to
get the error?

I strongly suspect the reference to owc10.dll is not required. So my
advice is the same.
