I am trying to fix some issues in Outlook 2002.

(1) There is no "Options" feature under "Tools" This function simply does
not exist.
(2) I cannot find the .PST file. I found the folder it should be located in
and tried using the built in search function but it does not exist. (Note I
do have a working "InBox" with all emails, addresses etc.)

I did an extensive Internet search and found no instances where the Options
feature simply disappeared along with the .PST file

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

The PST is a hidden file. Make sure you have used Windows Explorer to unhide
files and folders first.
When you click on the Tools menu button, do you expand the entire Tools list
or do you just look at the few items that appear at first?

Thank you. You helped me find the PST file. Hidden files was unchecked,
however hide extentions was. So I found the PST file.

Regarding no "Options" in the "Tools" drop down menu. There are no "arrows"
to expand the drop down menu. I see all the selections when I click on
"Tools", however there is no "Options" available.

As far as I know, since at least Outlook 2000 the drop down menu will only
show you the most frequently or most recently used submenu items. You usually
have to expand it to see everything available.

There also lies my problem. There are no "arrows" to expand the drop down
menu if the "options" tab is indeed "hidden".

Try key combination: Alt + T, and then Alt + O to see if that opens Options
for you. If it does, you at least know that option is available.
Usually however, if the toolbar is corrupted, renaming the outcmd.dat file
while Outlook is closed will rectify it.

Alt + O did not work. It opened the "File" directory. However I renamed the
outcmd.dat file and I now "Options" under "Tools".

Thank you so much for your help!
