I sorted my messages by flagged items. The hourglass appeared for a moment
and then all the unflagged messages were gone. They are not in the deleted
items folder or any other folder. Is there any way to find them?

I appreciate your response. I think I figured out what happened. After
finding a lot of messages flagged that have never been flagged, I realized
that somehow I caused it to flag all messages. I have decided that the
messages are actually there. I just have to clean up my flags. Sorry for the
panicked post. Turns out it was unnecessary.

I'm gald you were able to sort it out.

Brian,

I turned on Outlook today & all the residual messages in the Inbox were
missing. Also about 2 years worth of messages in the Received folder were
missing. Any ideas on what happened & how to recover the missing messages?

I don't knwo what you mean by "residual" and don't know exactly what you
mean by "turned on Outlook Today". Please describe the exact items you
clicked and what happened at each click.
