missing mapped drives

I have a problem with mapped drives disappearing from "My Computer". 4
drives are mapped by a login script in Active Directory. Usually all mapped
drives show up after a fresh boot (but not always.) After a day or so with
no reboots 1, 2, or 3 of the 4 mapped drives will be missing (sometimes, but
not very often, all mappd drives will be gone.) If I click tools and
disconnect network drives all are listed there. If I click start\run and
type \\server\share I get connected immediately.

The same thing happens on our 2003 server network running XP Pro. The
short-term answer is to create shortcuts to the mapped drives and put them on
the desktop.

That's a good thought...I am considering putting a shortcut to the login.bat
file on their desktop. That always puts all the drives back in.
