HI

Today my machine did not start properly and I seem to have lost a mail
folder in Outlook 2003 I have used the Inbox Repair Tool and it did find
errors, but hasn't repaired the missing mail folder. Its not in recycle bin
Im sure I've not deleted it and I need the emails. Help please.

Do you mean a single mail folder in your Personal Folders File or do you
mean a completely separate Personal Folders File?

Hello

I have a number of folders with different names and messages are filtered
into the correct folder, all sub folders of the inbox.

Its one of these that has vanished?.

If this folder is deleted has anybody have any idea what the file would be
called?, as I do have a deleted file utility.

I know you said you checked the Recycle Bin. But did you check Deleted
Items folder? If you deleted it (and it has not been emptied) - it will be
in there.

A folder in Outlook is NOT a file in the Windows file system; it is a
container within the Personal Folders file (PST). All Outlook folders are
kept in the same PST. So a file undelete utility will do you no good.

So any ideas what I can do?

Sorry missed that but it did not work.

I now find that when I click on "from" on a new mail message I get the
following error, the address list could not be displayed. the contacts
folder associated with this address list could not be opened etc

Any thoughts.

Also I seem to have two contacts choices in the "show names from the" drop
down box?
