Missing Links

Out of about 1,700 users of my FrontPage published
website, at least a dozen users have indicated that the
first 5 links on the home page do not work -- the cursor
doesn't "change" to a hand and no action ensues. It's the
same problem with all 12+. They mostly use IE and have
Java Script enabled. Most are using a PC -- two use a MAC
most use different ISP's and are geographically diverse. I
checked for "broken" links before publishing and
recalculated the hyperlinks -- the same complaints arise
from the same users. My Host isn't able to replicate the
problem (nor am I) so they are not able to help. Can
anyone out there provide a clue? I'd be ever so grateful.

We can sure help you if you give us the URL!! I hope you're not using hover
buttons - some IE browsers don't support them. So, show us your page and
we'll try to solve your delimma!

Chris, I think it's www.optonline.net Try looking at that. Mousing over
some of the 'links' doesn't show up in the bar at the bottom of the page...
but some of them do work. I wasn't much in the mood to go further, just in
case that really isn't his site.

If that is the site, it relies heavily on JavaScript (which if a user has turned off can be part of problem) and styles, and the
scripts don't support < NN 7

Get rid of all the JAVA Hoovers
- they don't support the cursor hand
- users w/o a Java Engine or w/ Java turned off for security reasons get No navigation

As for your normal hyperlinks - remove all spaces from file/ folder names (breaks links)
- also converts your links to add the %20 for the spaces as in AUTHORS%20PHOTOS.htm for AUTHORS PHOTOS.htm
