missing jpeg file association

Have you tried deleting your temporary internet files?
 
thanx chris but i delete my temp files as a mantra everytime I finish on the
internet, I believe my problem lies within the registry so that is where I am
going to begin, thankyou all for your suggestions they have been a great help
and who knows if I am succesful I might be back again one day...if not....bye

success....the answer was in the registry....permissions....thanx for all
your help guys.
 
Anando - thank you for that link. I had lost my file associations to EVERY
file on my system (office, music, photos, etc.) for no known reason. I ran
the batch file you pointed us to and viola, problem resolved. Thank you very
much!
