I just did a fresh install of Win XP Pro. Here's the issue: I have two
Maxtor 200Gb PATA harddrives installed; i.e. master/slave. Windows loaded
great, all of my drivers are there but when you pull My Computer, it only
shows the C: drive, no other harddrives shown. The strange part, both
drives are listed in device manager. How do I get Windows to show the 2nd
drive so that I can format it and use it for additional storage? Any help
is appreciated. Thanks.

you need to go to Control Panel/admin tools/computer management/disk
management...and format the drive there

Not strange at all. Windows sees the drive, but My Computer can't show
it because it doesn't have a drive letter yet.

Format it in Computer Management | Disk Management. That will give it
a drive letter and let My Computer show it.
