Missing Hard Drive Space

I have used 63.9 gigs of hard drive space and have 10.5 free. I thought the used level was a little high so I went through all my folders and have found that I am no where near even 30 gigs of used hard drive space. I had to re-install windows once due to a corrupt file somewhere. Does anyone know where this other 30 some gigs of used space is coming from.
