I am running Windows NT 4.0 and have Office 2000 installed
with all the updates. My problem is that when I go to
format a cell to 'number' the negative number options are
not all there. There is no option to have negative
numbers displayed using bracets. This is on my laptop.
However, on my desktop (which has the same setup) the
bracet option is there. Can anyone explain this to me?
Why is it this way and can I fix it?

Hi
these settings are dependet on your Windows regional settings (to be
changed within the Windows Control Panel)

In Win XP it would be Start>Settings>Control Panel>Regional and Language
Options>Regional Options. Select your language from the drop-down then hit
"Customize" and "Currency" tab.
