missing font parts

When I type, only the bottom half of letters show up. I have no idea how this
happened or how to fix it!
 
I believe that is usually the result of having the
Paragraph.Format.LineSpacing set to something exactly less than the height
of the font you are attempting to type.
 
To cure this, set the Line Spacing in your Format > Paragraph either
to a much larger Exactly value, or to Single.

Or change it in the paragraph style, which is approached differently
in different Word versions.
