Missing Floppy Disk

My floppy disk is missing from my computer folder. I tried both solutions
provided by microsoft article ID: 817196, 812489 and neither of them work.
Does anybody have any other solutions?
 
Have you been inside of the Comuter cabinet? If so you may have caused the
ribbon cable to become unplugged.
Go to Control Panel and then click on the System Icon and then select
DEVICE MANAGER na d look under floppy drive to see if it is crossed out in
Yellow.
