During start-up I get this message: missing windows 2000
root>\system 32\utoskrn\.exe. It's asking me to put in my
windows 2000 disc. Problem is my disc cracked.

Hmmm, sat on it huhh? No sweat ... I rolled my office chair over mine.

You might call the helpdesk number and tell them your hardluck story. I
would not be surprised but what they will chuckle and send you a new disk.
They did for me. I simply had to prove I really owned it , which was easy
since I had registered the product.
