Missing Favorites!

While using IE, all of my favorites instantly disappeared. I checked the
C:/WINNT/favorites folder and everything is gone. I was simply browsing the
Net when it happened (I was adding favorites). I looked in the Recycle Bin
and can't find any of them.

Does anyone have any idea of how this may have happened or how I can restore
them?

I'm using
Win2000 Pro
Amtel 2100+ system
IE 6.0
