Missing DNS SRV records, single-label domain woes

I have a setup with 3 major sites. The main site has 3 domain controllers, 2 of which are DNS servers. The 2nd and 3rd sites each have a DC with DNS server. All are Windows 2000 Server with SP4, except one DC at the main site, which was recently (3 weeks ago) upgraded to 2003 Server.

The problem is that the two DNS servers in the main site have lost their SRV records. This, of course, throws off FRS and other such things. I am at a loss as to why this happened, but I am guessing it had to do with the 2003 Server upgrade.

I have seen this same thing on other posts in this board, and like those other posters I have a single-label domain name. I saw mentioned a 'band-aid' registry entry and/or script to rename the domain. However, I haven't seen links to these actual items.

Please post where I can find the reg entry and the script. I will post my domain's information below.
