Missing Databases

Gene

Just completed working on a community mailing list, copy and pasting from
our accounting program (2000 records) over to an access database. Every
thing was going greatm I printed out the labels using the Avery Label
program and bang------------------it's printed out the labels, but now all
the databases are gone!!!!!!!

I still have the print out which I can use to get my data back, but it's
over 30 hours of work Off the clock so to speak.

Has this happened to anyone else, I was using office XP

Most likely you've done something you don't recall. You might try a
global search for MDB, MDE files or for the root names. Also, look in
the recycle bin.

Try opening Access software first and then use the MRU (most-recently used)
list.

If you didn't get any error and you didn't delete the MDB file, it is
probably somewhere you forgot.

My Fault, I didn't explain it properly - - - I still have the main database,
the tables where the data is stored are gone as are all the forms. I did
not delete these tables within the access database. I just told the avery
lable wizard to use them through word.

Make sure they are not hidden.

DO NOT do a compact of the database!!!

You didn't prefix them with the characters "usys" did you? That will
make them dissappear. Go to Options and check the boxes for Hidden
and System objects, to be sure they all are shown.
