Missing Content in Replies To My Orignal HTML Email

I am having a very odd issue in which some of my users are sending email to
clients from Outlook 2003 (on WinXP SP2) in HTML format and they are
receiving replies back which are missing the client's reply text. These
users also have blackberries that receive copies of the same message and the
reply text is viewable on the blackberry.

If one of these users forwards one of these messages to me, my Outlook does
the same thing - it cuts off the client's reply text, however, the copy I
receive on my blackberry is fine too. If I have them resend the same email
to me again, but grap the message with Outlook Express on my computer, OE
displayed the reply text just fine too.

The clients that seem to be affected are using Lotus Notes to reply to
original Outlook message. My users have HTML set as their default format
type for their outgoing email. I was under the impression that these types
of issues were only relevant to using Rich Text format. I had one of my uses
change to Plain Text and haven't heard back with further problems. Everyone
else is still using HTML as their default format and wish to continue to do
so if possible.

I am unable to figure out how Outlook is not able to view/render the reply
text. I though that Outlook and Outlook Express used IE to render html, but
it seems that Outlook Express is not affected by this issue. I have run all
Windows and Office upddates and am fully current.

I have gone so far as to scratch load my computer back to winxp with sp1
only and still have been affected.

I am out of ideas. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

There have been several reports in these newsgroups of this type of thing
happening with Blackberries.

I'm also seen reports of this type of thing with Lotus Notes.

From your reply I take it that there's currently no explanation/solution for
the issue other than to send out email in Plain Text only? That's
disappointing, but at least it seems that others are experiencing the same
issue, so maybe a solution is in the works (we can hope). If there is
anymore information available that might be helpful, please let me know.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
