Missing Cd Names

I have been able to see what the name of the CD is in My Computer for
several years. I had recently updated to Xp Professional Sp2. Since then I
have not been able to see the name that I put on the CD label without
writing it down. I have several ( approx. 40-50 cd's that I did not label
or write on, because they are cd/rw's.) What do I need to do to get My
Computer to be able to tell me the contents of the cd without opening it up.
What I mean for example. I would insert my windows Xp Pro Disc, and it would
tell me that the XP disc is in the drive. e.g. (2) second drive has My
Pictures on it dated from 9-12-06 and is labeled- named 9-12-06. all it is
showing is DVD/RW (F:) and DVD (E:).

I do the same on my work computer and it shows the name of the disc that is
in the drive. e.g. my Pictures 9-12-06.
Please help me
Confused????

While I'm not familiar with this particular issue - I'd suggest updating your
motherboard/chipset drivers. The reason I say this is that you've been
running XP for several years yet you just updated to SP2 - this could be the
result of drivers that aren't fully compatible with SP2.
