Missing 2 gig?

Since upgrading from ME to XP I am missing approx 2 gig of my hardrive. I
have searched, in explorer, but just cannot find whatever it is that has used
this space. I have looked in hidden files and folders, system files,
programmes windows, you name it. Does space just vanish? Could it be
cunningly hidden somewhere else? As I only have 10gig h/d I desperately need
to find this missing space!

Hi

That is roughly how much disk space is needed to install XP. It hasn't just
disappeard.

It could be in "system volume information" folder - it is where "system
restore" puts its restore files.

have Folder Options - View set to show Hidden files, and *not* Hide
Protected mode ones as well. The space you are missing is probably in
that section - most of the system, and also restore points and things
like the page file.
