This is the same as the previous message. I forgot to say which version of
Office I use. It's 2003 Pro.

Here's the deal: I enable page numbers in a document that is set up with
mirror margins. It's a book manuscript. The page numbers are set up to print
on the outside edge in the footer, and this command usually works fine. But
now...one page puts the number on the INSIDE (spine side), while the facing
page plunks the page number to the OUTSIDE edge. I thank you very much in
advance for any help. I have already tried re-installing Office from the
disk, and running D and R, to no effect.

You can ensure this manually by selecting "Different odd and even" (Layout
tab of Page Setup) and then placing the PAGE field appropriately in the Odd
Page Footer and Even Page Footer.

Thank you, Suzanne. Your suggestion worked perfectly. The textblocks for the
books 'Dimensions' and 'The 13th Day of Christmas' have now been converted to
PDF's and uploaded to our distributor. They kind of insist on page numbers or
something. (laughs)

We did this on time thanks to you.

Glad that worked for you, though I'm not sure why the "Outside" setting in
Insert | Page Numbers wasn't doing it for you. (I'm also curious about what
word I had in mind when I typed "ensure" in my reply--good thing you figured
it out, anyway!)
