Mircosoft Office Access can't create anymore controls...

In Access 2003 I'm getting the error message "Mircosoft Office Access can't
create anymore controls on this form or report". It's on quite a large and
complicated form. Is there anything I can do about it?

How many controls are on it? There's a hard-and-fast limit of 754 controls
or sections that can be added to a form (or a report) over its lifetime. (In
other words, even if you delete, say, 100 controls, you cannot add more new
ones).

One option is to copy the controls onto a new form.

Also, it might be possible to use a subform control for some of the
information. A subform control counts as ONE control on the form and the
subform control has a limit of 754 controls on it.

I believe that I found that you can compact the database and it will reset the
number of control slots used to the actual number of controls on the form.
So if you have added and deleted controls this may be a way to get some open
control slots.
