Minutes to hours formula

H

Hazel

Me again
I need to be able to convert minutes to hours in a
spreadsheet.
I have puzzled long and hard over this one (even asked the
help of hubby!!!!).
I have a column of minutes totalling say 108. I need to
set a formula that returns 1.48 being the hours
equivalent. All I get is 1.8 as an answer when I use the
formula =SUM(A2:A6)/60.
Can anybody help please.
Thank you very much.

=QUOTIENT(F7,60) & " hours & " & MOD(F7,60) & " minutes"
returns
1 hours & 48 minutes

Or if you want 1.48???
=QUOTIENT(F7,60)+MOD(F7,60)/100
returns
1.48 as a number

Divide 108 by 1440 (The number of minutes in a day) then format the cell as
hh:mm,

or

=TEXT(A1/1440,"hh:mm")

where 108 is in cell A1

And please don't tell hubby about me :)
