minolta printer

Dear reader,

I am installing a printer, but when i use the minolta
setup.exe, it crashes during installation. When I use add
printer in setup, the last screen says, could not install
printer.

The strange thing is, it worked perfectly. Then i
formatted the drive and reinstalled W2k, got all updates
from microsoft and now tried to install the printer. Won't
work

Any clues?

Dear Douwe,

Regarding your problem with Minolta printer: Check if you have some
other printers installed in LPT1. Some of the GDI printers don`t allow
to install other printers using the same port. Another suggestion is
to check the Virsu controll: Maybe un-activate it ??
