Minimized? Please help.

When I minimize a web site and then close the next website which now
brings me to the desktop. When this happens all pages that I minimized has
disappeared. Now I have to start all over to get back to pages that I have
minimized. Is there an alternative? If someone could please answer I sure
would appreciate it. Thabks in advance.

I'm confused...

You minimize a website--presumably pressing the minimize button (the
one in the middle) on Internet Explorer, and then you close the next
website--clicking on the 'X' button on Internet Explorer, the window
you originally minimized disappears?

What shows up on the taskbar? Anything? What Operating system are you
using? Windows XP or 98 or aother?

Let us know! =)

Was that directed at me Bill?

It was.
I get your replies OK but you never include the original post, or part of
it, so I don't know what you are talking about.

I'm new to the groups here, obviously. However, you gave me directions
for Outlook Express and I reply directly to the group on the post page.
Under the particular post I'm replying to, I hit the reply link and
type my message in that box.

What are my alternatives to posting other than using OE which is about
as insecure as IE, so that's not an option for me.

Cheers

OK
While you are reading this in OE go to Tools then select Options and then
select Send and put a check in the box beside "Include message in
reply".Click Apply. When you have done that reply to this Email by clicking
on "Reply Group" . Don't forget to post your reply on the bottom of mine.
Most people prefer it like that. I don't mind either way.

Now I'm very confused...it seems you keep giving me instructions for
Outlook Express. I do not use Outlook Express nor will I. Right now
I'm sitting here typing this in Firefox the same way I read these
posts. How is a setting in Outlook Express going to effect posting in
Firefox?

This is also a kind of random place to converse--if you like you can
try to explain this further by emailing me directly. =)

Mike, sorry to be confusing, I didn't realise you were using Firefox. When
you read your last post to me do you see my post? When you read any of your
posts do you see the posts you are replying to ? If not then no one can
follow the thread. There must be somewhere in Firefox to "include the
original message in the reply". At the moment you replies do not relate to
any questions.

Yes, I don't use IE.

So are you saying through Outlook Express (which I'm assuming your
using) my replies are not tied to this particular thread/topic?

In OE, which I am using, when I open any one of your posts all I see is your
post, It is a stand alone statement which is apparently answering some
question which is not shown in your post and therefore it is meaningless.
The questions I posted were :-
1) When you read your last post to me do you see my post?
2)When you read any of your posts do you see the posts you are replying to ?

I understand the two questions you asked me, I wasn't ignoring them,
they simply seemed inconsequential as I'm posting in a thread which
displays my content in a easy to understand linear thread like fashion.

However, I was unaware that my content delivered in another
manner--i.e. Outlook Express, displays it as a rogue posting just out
of the blue versus attaching it to this thread. That seems like some
pretty shotty scripting if you ask me. It's setup to view and function
on the web one way which doesn't at all translate to a different
platform.

Well I'm not going to use IE as I do care for my computer, and I can't
stand outlook express. Can I use any newsreader application to work
with google groups? Or, is there an easy way to setup Outlook 2003 to
work with the google groups?

Thanks for the help.

Since you are using groups.google.com to access newsgroups, you can probably
find information there on how to post to newsgroups. Though why anyone
concerned with the security of Outlook Express would at the same time use
groups.google.com is beyond me.

What 'Bill P' is trying to explain is that you don't have visible links
(within your posts) with the message to which you reply. It is not
necessary to include the whole list as some do, but at least give some
context and connection.

Hi Kenny, Thanks for the reply. Yes there is a button on the task bar when I
minimize. For example, if I open two websites and I minimize one and then
close the next I am sent to the desk top, Now I have to start all over to
get to the website that I had minimized. Starting over, I mean that I have
to rewrite the website in the upper www link, or go to favs and relink. Look
forward to your reply.

it seems that explorer is crashing and closing all instances...

try www.avantbrowser.com that has tabs, using tabs will sove your problem.
The reason why I cant help you more is because there could be 100 reasons
why
your internet explorer is crashing and exiting like that...

I could advise you to check for spyware, see my security page here for
a list of free spyware removers, install them and do some scans to see
if your pc is clean (its probably not, if you have never scanned for
spyware,
then you have them for sure)
