Minimize Problem

I have a problem with the minimize function within XP. When I do minimize
an application or any sort of window it does not go to the taskbar but
instead disappears.

I have four different accounts on my computer for each member of the family
but it's only my account that has the problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
