Minidump error?

Hans L

I suddenly could not Reply to Yahoo! groups messages if I
added text to the Reply message, but got the usual "Can't
find page" error message. Regular posting was okay.

Also, when I try to print a Yahoo! group message, I get
the dreeaded blue screen, which says something
about "dumping physical memory" and counts up to over 70
and then the Win XP Home restarts. The Error Report
Contents window mentions C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini101703-
04.dmp and C:\DOCUMEN~1\Owner\LACOALS~1
\Temp\WER3.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml.

Does anyone know where I should look for a solution?

Thank you.

Hi!Hans!
There are several tools that you can use to read the contents of a small
memory dump.And therefore you can analyze what's the cause.
You can also look at the Event Viewer.
Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.
Cerain pages require Java;is your system Java enabled?
suggestions:-
1]start > Run > sfc /scannow > ok
2]Update the printer driver

Hello ssg:

I did what you suggested below, and reinstalling the
printer drivers seems to have resolved my problems. What
printer drivers have to do with not being able to Reply
to Yahoo! messages if I enter text of my own I will never
in my entire life understand, but I can now both print
Yahoo pages and Reply the normal way. Thank you very
much!!!

Now, Java was my biggest concern before this happened.
In PC magazine Utilities page, for instance, when I click
a hyperlink based on Java as the one you see below,
nothing happens. Nothing!

<td bgcolor="#F3F3F3" class="content7" colspan="2"><a
class=Module_Content href="javascript:cj_window
('https://services.yaga.com/ziffdavis/access.do?
s=//ziffdavis/sku/archive&o=//ziffdavis/offer/sub/YearlySu
bscription&d=Annual+Subscription+to+PC+Magazine+Utility+Li
brary&md=PCPC10303TTX3C0100573');"><b>Introductory Annual
Rate</b></a>

So, I have gotten around it by clicking (in IE) View->
Source, and then copying

https://services.yaga.com/ziffdavis/access.do?
s=//ziffdavis/sku/archive&o=//ziffdavis/offer/sub/YearlySu
bscription&d=Annual+Subscription+to+PC+Magazine+Utility+Li
brary&md=PCPC10303TTX3C0100573

into the address window and Go, and thus, I have ben able
to get around my Java problem.

I don't expect you to, but could you possibly tell me how
I can check if my system (XM Home) is Java ready, and
what to do if it is not (so that I can successfully use
links as the one above)?

Thank you again.

Hans L
