Why can't I use songs from itunes on windows movie maker? I assume they are
not the correct audio file. How do I use current music for my movies if I
can't use these?

I'm assuming you mean AAC files. Apple doesn't license out their format
so you have to convert them to MP3 or another format (WMA, WAV, ...) to
use in Windows Movie Maker.
