How does one have MS remove the MVP status of a MORON?

I asked a question hoping for a fix and this is the kind
of responce that one get's here?
This is rediculous, I can expect an answer from several
different users like this but not an MVP. Please advise
thanks

With in the zip I have 2 *.exe files, and XP states that
it can not open these files for protection purposes.

Winxp pro, this does not happen in the Home edition.
Hi

See if this works:

Right click on the file and select properties.

Press the "Unblock" button if one exists.

Can't see what was so bad about the response, but if MS
revoked MVP status on the basis of moronic posts, there
would only be two or three MVPs left.

looks like a good response to me

Torgeir is one of the more knowledgable and helpful of the MVPs who
respond here.

....danny

Be even better if Microsoft removed the morons that accuse others of moronic
replies that aren't moronic ;-)

Sammy;
What is wrong with the response?
Torgier as anyone else only knows what you tell him.
Usually the simplest solution is given first unless there is reason to
believe some possible solutions have been tried.
Your personal experience is normally unknown to those answering the
question.

The more details given on a problem along with everything already
tried often goes further to getting a rapid solution.

How in the hell do you post a reply, when you don't know
that something exists. So I guess MVP's are all morons,
they have no clue as to how the system works. And another
thing it would make more since to block it in the HOME
edition then the PRO. Normally pro edition is used in a
pro environment, work where things are more secure.

Sammy, please take your head out of your arse before
reading any responses to your posts. Something is wrong
with your judgement if you think Torgeir's post was
anything but informative and helpful. I looked back at
other posts you made, and it seems you also attacked other
helpful people in this group who tried to help you such as
David Candy. Torgeir is an excellent MVP and the only
thing you deserve from him at this point is an opportunity
to bow down and profusely apologize to him for this
terrible treatment you've shown him.

What was so complex with the question?

You are not making friends hre Sammy

Thanks for that :-)

Actually, WinXP SP2 is adding information to e.g. exe and zip files
downloaded from the internet when you use Internet Explorer (and as
long as you save them to a NTFS disk, because this information is
added to an alternate NTFS stream).

To unblock them, you can do as I wrote, Right-click/Properties/Unblock

Let me give you an example (note: you will need to save the file to a
disk that use the NTFS file system and not FAT32).

Use Internet Explorer to go to this URL:

http://www.google.com/[email protected]

Then right-click on the link to the file
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip
and select "Save Target As..."

Save the file to your hard disk (NTFS!).

Then find the file in Explorer and right-click/Properties.

You should now see a button labeled "Unblocked" with the following
description at it's side:

Security: This file came from another computer and might be blocked
to help protect this computer

This is why I asked you to check if you could see this "Unblock"
button on the downloaded file(s), and if so, see it it would
help on you problem to unblock the file.

Regards,
Torgeir

Unfortunatly, the people here have no idea what MS has
done with this OS. It takes guessing.
Here is a work around for your issue; go to Winzip.com and
download the evaluation and use it. I have tested it and
it works fine I too have this issue. so I am trying to fix
it on my end.

Also remember that until MS knowledge base starts to fill
up questions are going to be limited.

No such thing as unblock in the properties of files, never
has been.
It has to be an option that MS has added to the OS just
like they did to MS Outlook, I had to download a 3rd party
utility to undo MS so called security fix.

Thank you very much, this did work great........
