Migrating to W2003 DHCP

There doesn't seem to be a DHCP-specific newsgroup, so I picked this
one. I hope it is not off-topic.

I am working on implementing two new W2003 servers to replace our NT4
servers. So far, so good. I would like to move the DHCP tasks from the
current Netware 6 server and move them over to the Win2003 server.

Could I get into any trouble just starting up the new Windows DHCP
server (assuming there are no contradictory rules for clients), and
letting it live for a while with the Novell DHCP until I shut it off
sometime later?

I can't think of any problems, and I haven't found any in the
research, but I thought it might be a good idea to ask.

Thanks for any ideas

Just make sure there is no overlap in the addresses that the two will
provide. The Windows DHCP server will need to be authorized in AD.

Go 75% adresses from Novell DHCP, 25% from Windows until you are satisfied
all is working. Then reverse the percentages until you are ready to
drop the Novell DHCP all together.

OK, thanks. Probably what I will do is just take the Novell server
down over the weekend and test. Then replace with Windows server.
