How can I bring all of my e-mails, contacts, and calendars from Outlook 2003
to a new computer with Outlook 2007?

With OL closed copy the pst on old pc to new pst, do not overwrite any
existing pst.
Either use the mail applet in control panel to add this pst, or within OL
file>Open>data File and browse to it
Set this as default if you need to

I'm in the same situation as Dave. Question: how do you copy old pst to new
pst without overwriting existing pst? thanks.

Put it in a folder that doesn't contain a PST.

Sorry new to this and had not seen space to type message.

Basically I got a new PC with Ooutlook 2007 on and copied my .pst file over
to the new computer (from outlook 2003) and am now experiencing all sorts of
problems with mail. Hanging sometimes, messages out add ins not working etc.
Do you think I should delete this .pst and reinstall outlook then follow you
directions as in this mail or what would you advise?

Thanks & Regards

Explain EVERYTHING you did. Did you overwrite any existing PST? How did
you add the PST to the mail profile? Did you start with a clean profile?
Did you make the added PST the delivery location? IN order to tell you what
you may have done wrong, we need to know just what you did do.

Hi Brian,

I set up my new PC started Outlook so new mail file was created. Next I
closed OUtlook, renamed the new mail file that was created and then I copied
my old mail file onto the new PC to the outlook directory. It started off
fine at first but then things started to go wrong. Anyway now I have
followed the advice from this listing and put the new mail file back in place
and brough in my old data by file, open, outlook data file and can see my
folders under personal folders. Everything stable but have no contacts in my
address book. I have a stand alone PC. I haven't investigated as yet how to
get my contacts into new file. I am sure there is a way! Thanks for your
interest.

Regards
Paula.

Sorry, that's exactly NOT what you should do.

Probably the result of a corrupt mail profile.

Reconfigure the Outlook Address Book service in your mail profile.
