Migrating from NT PDC to Win2k3 AD ?

I have domain runnung with a NT4 PDC, and a Windows 2003
file server.

I would like to decommission the NT4 box, and promote the
Win2k3 box.

Can I promote the Win2k3 box to a PDC using dcpromo, and
then demote the NT4 server ?

Extra info:

- The users aren't using roaming profiles.
- I plan on getting the DNS service setup on the Win2k3
box first
- there are mixed Win2k and 98 clients (I need the active
directory client for the win98 clients?)

No, you will have to upgrade one of NT DC's to upgrade your domain. See

There's only one NT server there at the moment (it's a
small network).

It's probably quicker and easier if I just create a new
domain, and rejoin all the clients (only 20 of them).

For 20 clients you can as well create a new domain if you want a fresh start
