migrating 2003 emails into 7007

I just installed 2007 on a exchange supported PC that had been using Outlook
2003. The email that was saved in 2003 did not show up when 2007 was
installed. How do I retrieve those old emails?

Was Outlook 2003 pointing to the same Exchange mailbox as Outlook 2007 is
now? Did the person perchance download the Exchange mailbox to a PST?
