the Microsoft Works program at virtually any store that
sells computer software.
Neither Windows XP, nor any other version of Windows, has ever come with Microsoft Works or any other application software.
Microsoft Works can be bought almost anywhere. If your previous computer, running Windows 9X, came with Works, it wasn't because Windows 9X came with it, it was because the company who sold it to you chose to bundle it as part of the package it sold.
