In the past, Microsoft word has worked just fine. Now, I
cannot type past the first page other wise it will not
print. Also, the program freezes up quite often. What
do I do?

Open WORD, on the help menu is a repair function

Emily,

Really hard to say with the limited information provided ...

exactly what happens when you try to type past the first page?

and what does "otherwise wit will not print"? Other than what?

In Word, normally, you would not know about pages. Pages are created by
the "pagination" process when printing to "flow" the text on the page.
How do you actually know you are no typing past the first page? Are you
sure you aren't erroneously typing in a table cell or text box? I've
seen folks try to type in these things inadvertently and after a page or
so the program will give up in frustration.

Re "freezing" .. caused by above, or a) Word is corrupted, or b)
hardware fault on computer (memory, power supply, over-heating can
happen on a laptop), or device driver. Check the Event log and see if
there are any clues. Long shot, but maybe if you de-install word and
reinstall it will fix (if corrupt Word is the root cause).
