Hi

I am having a problem with creating a form in Word. I
need to draw a line on this form that I will be able to
type a word on. I can not use the underline function
because I need several lines all the same size even if the
information on each line are the same amount of charactors.
I was told to try shift and the underline key, but when I
do that the underline directly under the charactors being
typed disappears. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks!

Hi Mary

As pointed out by another poster, this isn't the appropriate forum for this question. However, whenever I have a need for this type of formatting, I use single-column tables. If you only need one line then you only create a single row table, otherwise you create a table with as many rows as you require.. Then you remove all the border lines except the bottom. Hope the helps

You can use underline in this context if you combine it with
the use of Tab. Underline the (hidden) Tab character, so that
your line goes to the exact same spot (as set by Tab) no matter
how long the text is :-)

You can use the table function and then select which lines
are printed.
